Torrejón Sala Five Play and Yu-59 took the title in their respective categories of the Costa Blanca Cup Futsal

Two of the eight categories that make up the international youth futsal tournament were decided as a prelude to a Sunday in which the overall champion club and the rest of the teams that will win the trophies will be announced

Torrejón Sala Five Play, in the women's G category, and Yu-59, in the G14 category, won their respective finals this Saturday at the Costa Blanca Cup Futsal. The decision to select the champion teams in these categories was, in any case, a prelude to a Sunday packed with finals for trophies in the other six age groups (five in men's and one in women's) of the international youth football tournament. The winner of the overall CBC Futsal classification will also be announced.
Madrid's Torrejón Sala Five Play defeated Pontevedra's Bulebule FS by a score of 1-3 in the final in the G category (women's open age group). However, this Sunday there was another final in the segment between Racing San Gabriel and Juventud d'Elx. Meanwhile, in G14, Yu-59, a team from Finland, claimed the trophy after defeating the Denia team (9-1). Both titles were decided at L'Ila in Benidorm.
This Sunday, in the morning session, a day also packed with excitement and competition to determine the names of the winning teams in the other categories, as well as the overall champion club.
The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal is thus experiencing and completing a special edition, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Historically, it has seen the participation of 1,050 teams from 25 different countries over 20 years. For 2025, the figures released at the close of the futsal registration phase revealed that a total of 97 teams from eleven countries would be competing. Up to 38 foreign teams will participate in the different venues in the Marina Alta and Baja regions, 37 Spanish teams (specifically from outside the Valencian Community), and 22 Valencian teams will participate. Of particular note on the international stage is the return of Brazil, a powerhouse of the futsal world, after several years. From Europe, the majority of the teams will be from France, Spain, England, and Belgium. For the first time in futsal, the United States will be present. Also significant is the participation of teams from Taiwan, Lebanon, and Venezuela.
Next week, in the international youth soccer tournament, there will be 208 teams, representing up to 19 countries. While there will be a notable local mix, with 51 teams, the actual numbers of clubs from outside the Valencian region are even: there will be 80 teams from the rest of Spain and 77 from abroad. Internationally, the consolidation of participation by teams from two regions of the world is important. On the one hand, the Middle East with Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. On the other, the Caribbean, with the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico with ten teams. China returns after several years of absence, as do Brazil and Taiwan, which have doubled their participation in soccer and futsal. Iceland, a country of just 300,000 inhabitants and very few federation members, has competed in the Costa Blanca Cup in 21 of the 31 editions. The United States' presence is also growing.
