The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal 2026 kicks off with a marathon day of 96 matches played

The international youth futsal tournament held its first day of competition across various youth categories for both boys and girls on courts in Benidorm, Calpe, Altea, Villajoyosa, and Alfaz del Pi

The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal 2026 kicked off its first day of competition with a marathon of matches. Nearly 96 games were played across the various youth categories for both boys and girls. The ball started rolling on the futsal courts of the facilities in Benidorm, Calpe, Altea, Villajoyosa, and Alfaz del Pi. Thus, following the opening ceremony last Wednesday, the action began for the 21st edition of this championship, organized by Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas.

A total of 80 matches were played in the boys' categories (U10, U12, U14, U16, and U19), while sixteen matches were completed in the girls' tournament (U12, U16, and open age).

Nearly another hundred matches are scheduled for this Friday, completing the respective group stage matches and paving the way for the knockout rounds in either Phase A or Phase B. The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal 2026 features a total of 113 teams (57 from abroad and 56 from Spain) from nine countries: France, England, Ireland, and Spain from Europe; Canada, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela from the Americas; and Australia from Oceania. This number is in addition to the 206 teams that will compete in the football tournament a week later (117 from abroad and 89 from Spain).

The international youth futsal tournament will continue until the finals for the titles in each category on Sunday, July 5th. The overall champion clubs for both the men's and women's divisions will also be determined that day. Last year, the men's CDE Pinar de Alcorcón and the Taiwanese women's Rui Xang High School were crowned overall champions of the twentieth edition of the Costa Blanca Cup Futsal.

This championship enjoys the institutional support of the city councils of Benidorm, La Vila Joiosa, Altea, L’Alfàs del Pi, and Calpe, as well as sponsors and collaborators such as Aqualandia, Terra Mítica, Kappa, Futbol Factory, and Sala Marina.

The tournament can also be followed through various communication channels. The first is via smartphone, by downloading the TOURSPORT APP and selecting the championship. This app provides users with information on schedules, fields, venues, participating teams, results and standings, the program of activities, regulations, medical assistance, and more. This information can also be easily accessed through the official website, as well as complete information through the tournament's social media channels or, in the case of team delegates, through direct channels with members of the organization.
